Simon took a special liking to Calysta Bevier. When Calysta, a 16-year-old girl, took to the stage, she impressed. She is a cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer a year ago. The good news is that she survived, thanks to her bravery. She disclosed this chapter of her life when one of the female judges complemented her “Audrey Hepburn” style. Caliysta told the audience it was not her style of choice. It is a result of cancer.

The song she chooses “Fight Song” further amplified strength for someone her age and the tribulations she went through. She is a young girl, a cancer survivor with a powerful voice and strong vocals. The amazing rendition proves she is an inspiring survivor.
