Since the age of 2, Alex, a 9-year-old boy from Michigan has loved horses. A wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, came as no surprise when he decided to meet the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales.
The wish came into a reality in 2011, at the St. Louis Cardinals’ opening day ceremony when he had a chance of riding the Budweiser Clydesdale hitch around Busch Stadium. He waved after the imposing horses as the crowd cheered at him, while the speakers played “Here Comes The King.” His waving was to the baseball fans, friends and family, as he took turns around the field. It must have been a unique moment for the boy, for the Budweiser Clydesdales have been a staple in American tradition and pop culture for more than 30 years.
The truth of the matter is that these horses have windows in their transport vehicles for their purpose of safety harness on the Dalmatian. This proves the company’s detailed conceit about the animal’s care.
Alex later confessed to his mother that it was his best day ever, and gave thanks to Anheuser-Busch and the Make A Wish Foundation for making his wish comes true.
